WEEK 4-COLOR

Concept-The theme of my photos was me and my friends acting weird and holding water bottles up to their faces.
Composition- The colors I chose to show off my photo are contrasting hues. I chose the yellow to point out the part that was strange and the pink to fill the rest of the background to make the yellow stand out much more.
Craft-First thing I did to complete these photos was to find two water bottles and one of my friends and have them hold the water bottles up to their eyes. After I saved the pictures to my flash drive and opened my pictures through photoshop.  The first thing I had to due once photoshop was open is to change the first layers name and set it to the multiply setting. Then I had to desaturate my photo so that all the color was removed. I then added another layer through photoshop and chose my background hue. I added one more layer and brought that between the two layers on the side screen in photoshop. I added the opposite hue from the background color and made it my paint brush color. After all of my layers were set up I started with my paint brush for the parts of the photos that I wanted to pop out. I then went and changed the hues and saturation through photoshop until I was pleased with my photos. I then saved them to my flash drive.

WEEK #3

Craft- In order to take this picture I first had to find a can of Crush Orange pop which I had at my house. Since the project was to take a picture in front of a solid background I took this in my bathroom. It is currently being remodeled so the walls and the tile are all white. I layed the pop can on the ground flat right up against the wall. I had no flash on because the light from the bathroom was enough. I then tilted the camera and zoomed on the pop can so less of the tile would show.
Composition- I arranged the photo this way because it is something so simple but it really seems to make the pop can colors stand out. I chose white as the background because the can is very bright, but the words are white and i thought they would pop out. I like how the tile in the corner is tilted with the can because of how I took the picture and it looks as though the can is on a slant. The verticle line from the tile also grabs my attention straight to the can.
Concept- The concept of this art is to simply express an object against a solid contrasting background in order to make the object stand out completley to catch the viewers eye.

WEEK #2

Craft-I created this image first by explaining to Jorie (who the photo is taken of) that I needed ten pictures of ten different people doing the same werid thing. Jorie took two water bottles and held them to her eyes and that is the pose that I countinued to use. I tried to get her in front of a solid white door so there would be less of a distraction. I used my camerea and turned on the flash. I took her picture without doing anything else special to it.
Composition- The concept of this picture is to bring the viewers eyes straight to the water bottle. I did not do anything particular in this picture to have the eyes directed there but they tend to be drawn there anyway since it is the part of the picture that stands out the most.
Concept- This is a picture of a girl holding two water bottles up to her face. This may resemble her eyes being bigger and being able to look at things in a different way. This project did not have much meaning behind it so the only concept I am trying to get across is someone doing something out of the ordinary.

I CANT GET MY SCREEN CAPTURE TO LOAD OFF MY HARD DRIVE SO MONDAY IN CLASS I WILL TRY!
